Audio delay when playing DVD with Mplayer


The sound is ok when playing the same DVD with Xine.

Any help would be appreciated

I had a similar issue using kplayer as a frontend for mplayer.
Worked ok once I told it to use soft frame dropping.

Once you have ripped the dvd you can use the avisync program to sync the audio and video
