apache server installation problem


hi
i am using fc2 for installing aPACHE . but when i run configure the scripts it generates are unable to create installation directory. tell me what could be the problem and solutiuon.

You should probably just use the apache packages that Fedora provides, why are you trying to build it yourself?

apache server problem

i have to install two different apache instances on my fc2 ,thats why i am using the tar files for installation .

Well most likely you're having a permissions problem. If you're trying to do the 'make install' part as a regular user you'll need to own the directory that you're installing the package into.

You could also try using the relocate option of RPM, but I think the package has to specifically support it so you might be out of luck with that.
