I'm new linux user and I want to use Postfix mail server in my company.
We actually use MS Exchange server. I installed Mandrake 10.0 into one of our server. I heard that that Red Hat is preferred system for server side but I started with mandrake and I'll go with it.
So, my questions are:
1) Is it necessary that postfix server to be in windows domain?
2) I already installed samba server ,swat and webmin. Is that the good start point or useless?

These questions are about samba server:
3) After installed samba, I can't add samba user. System gives me an error like that :
Failed initialize SAM_ACCOUNT for user test_user.
Failed to modify password entry for user test_user
4) I can see my linux machine into windows network places but I can't get in to reach shared folders. Does samba user's account have to be same as windows user account?
