Question [KDE] Wich FXP client do u use and why?!

Hi all!

i just installed debian GNU Linux with KDE on my primary computer (fast one :P)

But i need some apps wich i used in Windows XP..

I found, xmms (winamp clone), mozilla (internet explorer clone), and bitchx / xchat (mirc clone)

i need one more and than life can start in linux... that would be a flashfxp clone, i already tried some, but that were all beta projects (sourceforge & freshmeat searched) and, or they crash, or they take a lot of cpu load...

Can u post here what fxp client i should use and why?!

thanx alot!!

Sorry I have never heard of the program but by looking at the webpage it appears you are looking for an ftp client.

I personally like the CLI so for this I recommend NCFTP.

For GUI's

gftp (Gnome)

and I think KDE has one called Kbear but I have never used it.

You can use FlashFXP with wine with pretty good results.

I've used FlashFXP/wine, but now I use IglooFTP with runs on linux. Its closed source and costs $$ to register past the trial date (30 days I believe), so the open source purists (which I call the linux Nazis usually) will protest. Ya, I'd prefer a FREE and/or open source application, but as there isn't anything thats seems to close (gftp isn't that close), you gotta go with what works.
