Probulm in loading graphics


When i default set graphical run level i do not go in graphics even command line also disappear and i have to restart to get some concsel.But i can enter in graphics through startx command.
Is it Vga problum of Os problum
Means default run level was 5 but it was problum as mentioned above.Then i change run level 3 & i enter in command prompt. then i wrote "startx " and it went to graphics.
I am using RHEL5. Where is fault

Is there really a need to run a graphical environment on your server? This takes away resources that could otherwise be used to serve your users needs.

When you boot to runlevel 5, what are the last few lines that you see before you have to reboot?
