Hi, I just installed a dedicated web server (debian) and I noticed that it is a nfs service installed and running. My question is: Do I need this service running on my server or I can safely uninstall it in conjunction with portmap.
NFS is used to share files on your local network. If you wish to not share files with other computers within your computer, then yes, you can safely disable the NFS service.
