cannot use mouse/keyboard

My mouse and keyboard works fine when starting my server and using it for system settings etc but when centos boots into gnome it doesnt work at all. Can anyone please help? im completely new to linux..

i'm completely new to linux?
you registered 5years ago, made 91 posts and started many threads (also this one).
something is very fishy.

i managed to get into single user mode and keyboard is working fine, is there anything i could do from terminal to make mouse/keyboard work on gnome desktop?

p.s the keyboard/mouse is plugged via usb back into the server usb ports.
