Mouse and Keyboard
I'm a nube to linux. Trying to break the bad windows habit.
I finally found the types I want.
I have an HP Pavillion ze4800 with 256Ram, and an intel Pentium M
I have 3 partitions
2 primary
1 swap
I have installed various linux operating systems on my laptop.
I decided I like Ubuntu, Icepack Linux, and College Linux.
I was installing them on our schools computers. My problem is that they won't install on my system.
I can install Ubuntu, but I want a dual boot with Icepack Linux and College Linux.
When I install the Icepack linux, it seems to work perfect while installing from the first cd. When it reboots and asks me to put in the root password and put in the 2nd cd to continue installing, I have NO mouse or keyboard support.
In College Linux, It seems to be installing fine, until it asks about my keyboard. It tells me to press 1 to change layout, or Enter to continue, but I can't type anything.
Keep in mind, I am new to linux, but experienced enough to prefer these two versions. I don't know how to change auto detect options and that when the boot thing comes up to install, and I'm not very fluent in the console.
I hope this is enough information to get help.
Thank you for ANY help in my problem.
