UID's????
Does anyone know where i can find the uid for users that come with a redhat installation???
Like the uid for root, bin, deamon, shutdown, games, etc.....

Well, if you want to look at all of them in one big file, that is stored in the /etc/passwd file.

from a command line
id bin
shows everything you need if you don't have an access to /etc/passwd

I needed UID's to set webmin not to show a couple of users but it doesnt work
