"Swisting" samba login to do more?

I'm running RH 8.0, 2 nic's eth0 and eth1, iptables, DHCP server on eth1(local lan), DHCP client on eth0(DSL to ISP) and samba(windoze from 98 - note - not really a good year clients). Login to samba works (if you pass - granted access to shares, if you fail - access fails). From the client workstations you can access the internet weather you pass of fail with samba. So my question is any thougths out there on how to tie login (pass - fail) to internet access.

Thanks David for the good tip. This the direction I was thinking about. I think I'm going to need some testing before we make this the real world for our network. My concern is with the ways laptop user disconnect from the network (never the same way).

If anyone else has any tips.... Please feel free to pass it along. All ideas are welcome.

The way I have modified the scripts it checks to see if someone is logged in under that ip. If they are it logs them off. Also if that user is already logged in it will log them off before logging the new user in. There is also plans to implement a timeout but we haven't got round to that yet.

Yes! Yes! I'm still looking under the hood ( bonnet } to see if there is anything that i've missed. I can email you direct if you'd like if I come up with any new twists.
P.S. much thanks again for the info.
