Unhappy new smoothwall install help??


new install with smoothwall 2.0 beta 5!!
I was unbale to download the DOCs from smooothwall.org becuase smoothwall has made them unavailable at this time.

I do not know what the initial(defualt) login /password to login for the first time.

anyone know??

Hmm....

I have the pdf files for v-0.99 and there's no login/passwd mentioned. Usually it's:
Login: root
Passwd: <ENTER>

i've tried!!

login:root
password (entering )
does not work.
i've tried all kinds of the obvious choices with no luck.

Thanks for the response. any more help is would be great.

During setup you should have set up 3 different passwords.
root.
setup.
and and admin.
If your logging in via the remote admin https server you need to log in as:
UN: admin
Pass: <your password>
Logging in locally as (username) root (then password) will give you your bash shell.
Logging in locally as (username) setup (then password) will give you the setup script again.
Connect to the remote admin http server by:
https://192.168.0.1:445
or
http://192.168.0.1:81
replace 192.168.0.1 with YOUR GREEN IP.

got it thanks

for some reason i hit cancel before i got to the part to setup my passwords etc..
I re-installed and put in a 3 passwords.
