smoothwall install

I'm trying to install Smoothwall 1.0 iso(using boot floppy) and Cd-ISO image. The install program starts up etc, but only reaches the part where it says to install from CD-rom, after this on the next screen it says unable to partition hard disk and goes into reboot.
I've tried this on two computers now and it gets the same message.
Pc's have two Intel 10/100 PCI network cards
Spec's Cyrix MII-300, 6.4gb Hard drive(LBA is not on, set to normal) -set as master, 36x CD-ROM as slave- I know CD-ROm sees ISO image as under a DOS boot you can see the ISO image, 64mb SDRAM

other PC PII-350, 4.3gb HArd drive(LBA not on, set to normal)-set as master, 36x CD-ROM as slave- I know CD-ROm sees ISO image as under a DOS boot you can see the ISO image64Mb SDRAM
.....please can anyone help, is it to do with the hard disks.
(they've got WIN98 on at moment, under FAT32). I've formatted drive too, makes no difference)

Can anyone provide any help or ideas?

How do you mean it sees the iso image?

Have you tried removing all your partitions first?

I moved the thread to Linux - Software as it fits better here.

Peter Turner, could you explain the way you try to install? Where do you have the image? How is your disk partitioned? Do you have one big partition?

Smoothie will remove all partitions on the drive for you and repartition and format the drive automaticly. Why not change in the system BIOS CDROM as the 1st boot device instead of using a boot floppy. I had the same prob... Smoothie 2 coming out soon!!!!
