Hello. Today is my first day experimenting with Linux. I have Knoppix 3.7 on a bootable CD. I use a Belkin Wireless USB Network Adapter (F5D6050) for Windows, but Belkin only has drivers for Windows & Macs... so I was wondering if I could use this for Knoppix. I went to Configure Network Card or whatever it is, it pops up asking for DHCP, and I clicked yes (also tried no) but it just says "Failed."

Is there a way to use this Belkin for Knoppix?! If so, how? And if it's not possible, what can I use to get Internet (the hub & other wireless receiver are running Windows)?

Oh, and if I can't use the Belkin for Knoppix, could I use it for another bootable-CD-Linux-thing?

There is a program called ndiswrapper that you can use. It will let you use the windows drivers. Im not sure if Knoppix comes with it. Try looking on the site. You can try DSL its a lot smaller, and has a lot less programs but I know it comes with ndiswrapper.
