Internal Wireless Card HP/ wireless with knoppix?

I've been using the knoppix (std) for a while on my desktop, but i want to use it on my laptop. When i ran it, it did not dectect a wireless network. I looked into the sit a little more and discorved that it doesnt recongnize my wireless card and doenst see it there. Any ideas or dont bother and just get a card? And i prolly should put this as another topic but i'll throw it here for now, will auditor have the same problem? and what is the correct version for a HP zv5k? i've been having a little trouble finding a decent download.
Thx alot
pat

What kind of card is it? Does lspci tell you anything about it? Chances are it's a crappy broadcom chipset that would require something like ndiswrapper and it would be much simpler to just buy a good card that'll be supported.

But a lot of wireless cards still require out-of-tree drivers even if they are supported, so see if there's a list of chipsets that the kernel Knoppix uses will support.

Ispci doenst say anything about it. Mostlikely a generic one such as a Linksys will work. Any idea as to where a orion gold could be found? I've been looking for a while and no luck. Thx
