Upgrading RHEL 4 update 4 to RHEL 4 update 6??


Can anyone help me with upgrading RHEL 4 U 4 to Update 6?
What are steps and packages additional I need to install?
since its very critical step I need you people Help to perform the same?

Its quite simple really. Do not update the bootloader. packages that you installed in 4.4 will get updated in 4.6. If your server is connected to external storage you should upgrade your HBA drivers et al. Prior to doing all of this is is ALWAYS a good idea to take a complete backup of your systems.

I dint understand.I need to run rpm -ivh <kernel package>.Where is this kernel package?
What are the steps?

Assuming you've got a legal version of RHEL, use the RHN (RH Network).
