Ubuntu Server Remote Access

I have a Filer Server running Ubuntu Server 9.04 located at my office. I would like to access these files from my home. How would I accomplish this as simply as possible?

Using ssh. Install sshd with apt-get, open port 22 in your firewall, and configure sshd.conf. Good luck!

Thank you for responding. I think what I really need is a FTP server. How difficult is that to setup?

Thank you.

Ok, you can set up an ftp server, but I do not recommend it, as you can use scp to transfer files via SSH. SSH is secure, FTP is not.

I just briefly explained....... Scp is used to copy files over SSH. It stands for secure copy.

And to read more about it, you can do a "man scp" from the command line.
