Question Trying to load drivers to a PClinux machine

I have a edimax wireless adaptor and I'm trying to learn about installing the drivers in PCLinux. It came with a CD that shows linux drivers but i don't know how to load them.

There should be instructions, perhaps in a file named INSTALL or README, or in a PDF file. Unfortunately vendors seem to expect that Linux users all have a certain level of technical proficiency; driver installation is often done from the source code and requires a sequence of commands similar to:
  • ./configure <plus some parameters documented in the installation instructions>
  • make clean
  • make
  • make install

There might be an open source driver already in the kernel. Can you post the output of "lspci" so we can see what exact wireless card you have? Also, what version of PCLinuxOS are you running?
