tmdns error

When Linux is booting and lists what its loading and the status i get this

Starting tmdsn FAILD

Any idea why and how to fix it ?

OS: Mandrake 9.1

Hey, I get the exact same error message when I start Mandrake 9.1. I have no idea what it is or anything. Just thought I'd keep you company here.

does anyone actually know what tmdns does? I haven't found any good docs on it. It just seems to get in the way of normal dns operation

I get exactly the same message on boot up - I've only been using Linux for two weeks but I am getting very exasperated!!

i just got rid of it in the end.

as root:

urpme tmdns

but i still don't know what its for...
