sound prob SB16 (ISA) mandrake


Hello,

I tried to config my soundblaster in a console with sndconfig.
a:220 I:5 D:1, when testing I got a sound, but when I started KCD in KDE, there was no sound.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi rafiek, welcome to lq. The first thing that comes to mind, is the audio cable from the cdrom to the sound card or motherboard. Check to see if you have one, if not, and you have the plugs necessary get one and install it. The other thing is permissions on the the device, but, check for the cable first.
