I am facing the same problem in RHEL 5 in mounting ntfs file system of installed xp. I have downloaded and installed the fuse-2.6.3-1.el5.rf.i386
and fuse-ntfs-3g-1.1004-1.el5.rf.i386 rpms from dag.wieers.com but when i run the mount command which is
mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /mnt/ntfs
it is showing the error message
-----------------------------------------
FATAL: module fuse not found
fusermount: fuse device not found, try 'modprobe fuse 'first
Initially i searched and got that i need to install fuse and fuse-ntfs-3g i installed that but when tried to mount d drive it shows d above posted error
Now regarding gcc the site you gave there is no gcc mentioned for rhel 5 its there for rhel 4 now what to do????????? And its written there that we need gcc to compile c/c++ .
Other rpms i have installed
fuse-ntfs-3g.rpm
fuse.rpm
dkms.rpm
dkms-fuse.rpm
but didnt find libfuse.rpm anywhere now where to get it i tried in dagwieers and d link you gave me there is no rpm by the name libfuse
And tell me major sites where in can find needful rpms as well
