really weird bootup error

I installed RedHat 9 last night, and all went well durring installation, no errors or whatever, but when I rebooted as it asked me to right around the part of boot where they 'load linksys' or whatever it's called :: my system just keeps spamming "99 99 99 99 99 99 99 99" etc... untill it fills about half of my monitor. Anybody ever see this before? I figure I should try reinstalling it and hope it works out, but any tips would be great.
