Hi. Just installed Slackware 13 on my desktop according to
ftp://slackware.mirrors.tds.net/pub/...lackware-HOWTO and successfully got to "6. Post-installation configuration".
I chose not to install kde or x windows; I wanted to try xfce (first of all, please correct me if I'm wrong in thinking that xfce is a substitute for kde or xwindows?)... but I didn't see the option in the install menus I "approved". (I installed A, AP, D, L & N; I went through A and AP and removed things I *knew* I wouldn't need -- like the multiple mail programs and IRC things.)
This then leads me to my second issue. I've opened pkgtool and it gives me the option of loading from the current directory (useless), from floppies (no floppy drive installed) or some other directory. Where is the "install" directory? Is it the DVD I installed Slackware from?
Or did I miss the right package to install xfce the first time around?
