AOL UK && BT Voyager 100 && Slackware 10.2 && RP-PPPoE

Hi folks

I have the following problem with connecting to the internet from slackware using aol and bt voyager 100...

I used eciadsl drivers, so far there is everything ok with eciadsl, all synchronizations and other thing went ok. Should I use DHCP for this connection?

Anyway the problem is when i start rp-pppoe...

I gave there proper DNS addresses and everything but I do not know what should i write in Ethernet Device? should it be "tap0"? and, when i try to connect, it doesnt connect me to the internet just shows the following message:

After running the command ./go

................TIMED OUT
/usr/sbin/pppoe-start: line 193: 13733 Terminated $CONNECT "$@" >/dev/null 2>&1

After running the command ./go-gui
when going to start getting following error message.
error starting connection:TIMED OUT
/usr/sbin/pppoe-start:line 193: 17099
Terminated $CONNECT "$@" >/dev/null 2>&1

Any help well appreciated!

your only chance might be to swap internet providers, AOL & Linux dont work too well together. You will have to keep trying different settings to configure your bt voyager but like i say not many people have got this modem to work.
