pkgtool & checkinstall listings

I want to be able to remove an application easily, like in pkgtool. I installed MPlayer1.0pre7 last night using checkinstall:

./configure
make
as root:
checkinstall

MPlayer installed fine and I'm able to use it....I just don't see it in the list of removable packages in pkgtool. How would I remove MPlayer for an upgrade? Where does checkinstall keep a log file of which applications it installed?

My mistake-it wasn't alphabetical because it was caps and appeared as the first entry above 'a' and not in 'm'.
