partition errors in Redhat 8

I've been trying to get Redhat 8 installed on a WinXP machine. The linux install is going on a secondary drive, however when going through the install, I keep getting errors saying that the installer can't reread the partitions on the system and 'doesn't know about the modifications I've made'.

I'm using the auto partition option and a default install package.

Anyone have suggestions on how to correct this problem?

Try to delete all the partitions from the drive you're planning to install Linux to (of course, all the ones you'd like to use for Linux). Then start installation.

I'll second that! Red Hat doesn't like installing in an existing partition. Delete the partitions in the area you are going to install Linux in and the install should go just fine.
