Hi, everybody, i'm new to this forum, and to linux, well actually i won't work with linux, my issue is that a client of mine, wants me to do this webpage for them, but they have a linux server, so my question is can i work the website completly in windows and upload it on a linux server?, the website will be mostly flash, no ASP, no Coldfusion, no databases, nothing complicated, just a dynamic website to show some products. completly created with macromedia flash and macromedia dreamweaver I hope you can answer. thanks in advance.
Yes, I know for a fact you can upload from Windows to a Linux server, providing that you have some type of FTP client and FTP access. I upload my whole site to a Linux server, asp, cgi, flash etc.

You do it exactly the same way as you would for a windows web server.
You need to get the clients FTP details, this will include a username, password and domain name (or IP address).
You then need to use a FTP client like WS-FTP or something similar, they are all much the same. Connect to the linux server using the FTP detail provided by the client and then transfer the files to the "public_html" or "www" directory.
Then when you go to the web page in IE you should see the new flash files.
