Hi,

I want to create a website, could someone please explain to me how i can go about doing this? thanks

Firstly, this is not a Linux-related question.

Secondly, you'll need to learn HTML.
W3C - the guys who DEFINE the web

www.webmonkey.com is where i first started out. they got good start from 0 tutorials

okay, i looked at the link and am trying to figure it out. Is there hope for a girl that doesn't know what HTML stands for and who cnt speak Geekian? thanks x

You could have followed the link I
posted ... there's tutorials listed on
the W3C pages ... :P

html = hyper text markup language

you NEVER have to know that do html. in fact, i don't know why i do know that.

"geekian" is just like speaking english. just takes a while to learn and half of us still don't know it decently

I said "paste it there" ... into the entry
field of the web-page I gave you the
link to. That would translate the geek-
code into English (more or less) :}

so is linux a server? You would laugh if i toldyou how igottothis forum. Im interested in learning "geekian" and want to be a ubber programmer, so what would be the first thing i should learn? please bear with me cuz im really trying. thanks p
