How to mount NTFS from linux 7.2, while fat32 and fat16 are mounted with no problem. should i require a driver for that?

you need a driver for that, but only if you eneable this driver in the kernel. which means, you have to compile your kernel with the NTFS read-only option, you may take the risk for choosing the write-option too, but write-option is still under experimental

even if you choose write option it won't work as write.

if you like to play goto
linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net
and get new driver which is more reliable and better

redhat's precompiled kernel doesnot include ntfs support. You have to recompile your kernel to include ntfs support. also you may not be successfull in writing to ntfs. currently you can mount it read from ntfs

You should watch it.... the read works fine. But writing to an NTFS partition can cause it to have corruptions.
