I have a sony external hard drive. In that i created dev/sdc1/ (NTFS) for windows8.1 clone image via clonezilla.

dev/sdc2 (NTFS) dev/sdc3 (NTFS)

then i deleted sdc2 and then created root/ , home/ and swap file. Then i putted bootloader in root/ (sdc2 ext4 /). After install when i choose to boot from external hard drive. OK, so you have windows 8 on the first partition of that drive.

Cloned an image of what? Not windows 8 as that is on another partition of the drive, right?

So you then created these partitions for Linux, was that during the installation process? And which of the 500+ distributions of Linux might you be using? If you put the bootloader on sdc2, the Linux partition, did you manually configure the windows 8 bootloader with third party software to boot Linux? If you did not do that and did not put the Grub bootloader in the mbr, there is no way to boot it. Are you using uefi or mbr to boot windows 8?
