KDEPIM removal of spambays

fedora 13, kdepim, was getting the following auto bug report:-
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Package: spambayes-1.0.4-9.fc12
Latest Crash: Thu 09 Dec 2010 05:18:50 PM
Command: /usr/bin/python /usr/bin/sb_filter.py
Reason: __init__.py:355:hashopenBNoSuchFileError: (2, 'No such file or directory')
Comment: None
Bug Reports:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Decided to yum remove spambayes, as i had clamav installed...removal of spambayes resulted in kdepim disappearing altogether, should this been expected ????
have previously backed up:-
/home/trevor/.kde//share/apps/kmail/
/home/trevor/.kde//share/config/kmailrc (Kmail Account Settings)
and Calendar and addresses.

will a reinstall of kdepim delete all data ie emails calendar addresses account data?
should i reinstall kdepim and retrieve the backed up data?
kind regards TrevB
