kdepim icons on k-menu

I have installed kdepim applications (knotes is one of them) and I cannot find the newly installed applications on the k-menu. I have to type ' knotes ' on the terminal to be able to start it. I know I can manually add the application shortcuts by editing the k-menu. But there are a few kdepim apps installed which I cant remember.. I want to know why the newly installed kde pims apps icons were not automatically added to the kmenu. thanks..

When you run the kmenuedit command, you need to click on the icon button (it will look like a paper with a dogear on the bottom) and pick an icon to go with the command.
