I think have this problem when I install Fedora Core 4. Whenever I get to the installation part, nothing happens. The progress bar on the screen doesn't move, the CD drive isn't doing anything, and neither is the computer. Is this just normal, or is there a BIG problem?
Could be a problem with your cd's. Did you burn the cd's as an image file? Was there a problem with your downloads?
Any info on what you did might help.
I just did the regular installaion with the workstation install type, and default options (expect for the connecting internet and network part). I even tried installing linux in text mode, but it still doesn't work
Hi,
The problem that you r facing might also be due to a corrupted image burnt onto the cd's do a check on the checksum values on the images and compare them with the ones given in the redhat website and then always do the media test on all cd's before you proceed with the installation.
