What computer guy? I'm assuming you asked him to do this. Your statement above sounds like he just come to your house and installed without asking you? Or, did you buy the computer with Linux/Ubuntu installed?

Sounds like you are not at all familiar with Ubuntu, there are a lot of tutorials on using Ubuntu as it is a very popular distribution.
