How to stop beeps on startup.

Hello all.
I am new here. I have tried echo -en '007' to get my laptop to beep. Now it produces this annoying sound every time I turn it on. How do i stop it? Can someone please help me out.

sorry guy, but echo -en '007' will not switch on that annoying sound during boot. And also it cannot be switched off that way. Probably something else happened too.... By the way that sound usually means a hardware failure and that should be also displayed. (or check your bios settings).
