Hello, I'm a Linux beginner, and was wondering if there's anyway to tell if a GPU will be Linux compatible. The GPU is an nVidia Geforce Go 6600, in a Qunta KN1-PM Notebook, and the distro I plan on getting is CentOS. Will it be fine?
You should be perfectly fine with running most recent GPU's in linux. Check www.nvidia.com driver section for the drivers and readme file. I'm pretty sure your card is supported under the nvidia linux drivers, but I would check their documentation to make sure
