Thanks jdkaye , Can i ask you one more thing .
As we can choose our own Desktop environment in Ubuntu 11.04 (KDE/GNOME) and can switch at every login .
Can't we do the same in Backtrack ?
If yes ,
1. Then why two different versions (KDE/GNOME) , if there are some more difference ?
2. How to do it , i installed "KDE DESKTOP" package from synaptic in Backtrack 5 GNOME but don't know from where to switch to KDE !

Hi Unknown,
Congrats on solving your problem. That's a good start. I have never used Backtrack so I'm not a good person to ask this of. I don't even know what it does. Why not mark this thread as [solved] and start another one on the backtrack question.
ciao,
jdk

Backtrack is a penetration testing distribution targeted to the white hat crowd.. It's a damn good one too. I had Backtrack 4 on a USB stick when I was working in that field (I think I still have that USB stick somewhere). I heard with the new version you can install it on a HDD now, so I'm assuming it has updates these days.
