disabling sound card ??

Hello Folks,

I have a microsoft usb camera which has an inbuilt microphone in it,which gets listed as a sound card when i search under
Code:
/proc/asound/cards
.

Is there any way i can disable the microphone of the camera i.ee i dont want it to be listed when i do
Code:
alsamixer -c 2
I cant even blacklist the snd-usb-audio module as i have a usb headset which needs that module,i am just looking if there is any way i can disable the capture device on the camera.
