Dependency error : libasound.so.2

Hi,

I have downloaded asterisk.rpm and while trying to install, I'm getting the following error:

error: Failed dependencies:

libasound.so.2 is needed by asterisk-1.0-0_rh9
libasound.so.2 (ALSA_0.9) is needed by asterisk-1.0-0_rh9.

Im trying to install asterisk on my Linux Enterprise, Kernel-2.4.21.9.EL

I'm expecting your kind assistance as early as possible.

you're trying to install a redhat 9 rpm on a RHEL installation... this is wrong. either compile from source or get a version of the package for RHEL (although i doubt it exists). it is asking for old packages, which are obselete now.
