CentOS eth0


Hi,

I just installed CentOS 6.3 minimal.

I'm trying to reach the internet but no luck.

I run..
#ifconfig -a
And the only interfaces I see is lo, p4p1, wlan0

No eth0 exist!!

Please show the output of ifconfig.
Do you have an ethernet card plugged in from your host to your modem/router?
Do you have more than one physical eth port on your system?

My on-board nic is connected to a small switch.

I am not using an external internet card.

I have 1 physical eth port.

Disregard..

Interface p4p1 is my main interface.

After doing a ifconfig p4p1 up, i was able to reach the internet.
