Thumbs down Can't access BIOS on IBM T41 - Grub is in error state 15 (<- My doing!)

Hi,

I need to access my BIOS on an IBM T41 laptop. Normally I do this by pressing a "Access IBM" button, but it doesn't seem to work.

I installed debian on this laptop, and choose to play around with installation options I wish I hadn't.

My plan was to give grub a good beating so when I rebooted, my BIOS would take over saying "Operation System not found, here's a convenient way to access your BIOS..."

But instead Grub is giving me an ugly Error 15, and that's because I deleted everything in /boot/* (<- that was the beating).

Can anyone offer an alternative method of fixing this? The obvious answer would be to boot a LiveCD and recover from there, but my boot order is set to boot the HD first

Thanks for reading.

You could move your hard drive to a working computer and fix it there.

Can't you bring up a "one-time" boot order screen ???. PF12 seems popular, but I don't know about the IBM.
