Hello !

I just received from my school an HP EliteBook 8560p, with win7 and debian wheezy/sid installed on it.
On debian, I managed to play sound via bluetooth through my sennheiser MM400 headset, but I can't connect to my sony CMT-HX70BTR stereo.

In fact, from time to time I can manage to connect to my stereo via bluetooth, but blueman indicate a link quality lower than 10%, thus making sound playing impossible.

I already installed pulseaudio in order to be able to connect to my headset in the first place, but I don't know what to do next ...

Any clues ?

Ok, so I followed this tutorial : http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=49867
and I can now connect to my stereo. However, the signal strength is good for a while (~2 sec) and then drops to 15-20% strength. (just for info, I can play song perfectly via bluetooth with my cellphone, so I don't think the problem comes from the stereo)
Do you guys have any ideas? I haven't got much answers so far

I've had bad experiences with bluetooth. The first bluetooth dongle I bought used a chipset that is known to be faulty. I never got that one to work at all. My brother has a bluetooth dongle that I've used in the past that works flawlessly. The one I have at the moment works ok, but it's far from flawless.

There may be a way to get better results, but it could also be that the bluetooth device you're using, be it built-in or via USB, may be less than perfect.
