ASUS EEE Laptop: Unable to get into either Yahoo! Mail or Gmail

I have an ASUS EEE PC. Since I've had it, I've never been able to successfully login to Yahoo! Mail or Gmail. It lets me enter my user name & password, then just boots me out.

Has anyone else had this experience? What can I do about this?

Thank you.

Sorry - it has the Linux OS (ugh). As for cookies being turned on or off in Firefox, how do I know that? I don't think I messed with them when I got the ASUS EEE, so they must be set at whatever they are when it comes out of the box.

If it's an EeePC, it's got a customised Xandros installed.

I had no problems accessing Gmail or Hotmail (don't have a Yahoo! account) when my EeePC had its default installation on it. Have you tried clearing all the private data? Open Firefox, go to Tools, then click on "Clear Private Data". Make sure the Cookies tickbox is ticked, then click "Clear Private Data Now".

To check whether you have cookies enabled, open Firefox, go to Edit, then Preferences. Make sure the "Accept cookies from sites" box is ticked. Also, check in the "Exceptions" box that Gmail or Yahoo aren't being blocked in there.
