I use awstats version 6 now , I want to upgrade it to version 7.x .
I found that the existing awstats.pl has been customised by us previously , it is very hard for us to do the same customised at version 7 of awstats.pl , if I just upgrade the awstats library ( eg. docs/ README.md tools/ wwwroot/ ) to version 7 but keep the old version ( ver 6 ) of awstats.pl , is it finished the version upgrade ? very thanks
Sorry, no. A half-way upgrade will only break things totally. And it's very odd that you were able to modify the perl code before, but have lost the ability to now. Especially since you just installed this a short time ago:
Lots of awstats questions since January, a very short time back. Several questions were asked that you didn't respond to. Can you please tell us why you were able to modify the perl program before, but can't now? Can you post what you modified, show us what error(s) you get when you attempt these same modifications to the new program?
