xmms stops while playing songs from CIFS filesystem

I have Fedora 7 (the same problem was on FC6) which has mounted remote share from RedHat 8 server:

//192.168.1.1/dwnn /mnt/dwnn cifs credentials=/root/.cred,uid=2083,gid=102,auto 0 0

This share contains mp3 files, that are played on Fedora's xmms.

Everything is fine, but sometimes xmms stops playing (looks like pause, but unpausing restarts the song). At first i thought it was related to high volume traffic on eth0, but sometimes it just stops when I'm not doing anything ( you know; randomly, just to piss me off ). Same with traffic on the server.
Do you have any problems like that? What might be the cause? or fix?

Thanks
