Intermittent connection problem
Hi all
I'm running an apache webserver on fedora core 2. Most requests are handled by the server just fine - I can see from the apache logs that pages are getting served to visitors and I've verified that I can load the pages from an outside connection.
However, often when I try to connect from an outside connection, the connection just hangs. In the browser, it gets as far as 'Connecting to..' and then just hangs (so I don't think it's a DNS problem - it's resolved the name by this point - unless sometimes it's resolving it wrong?). Sometimes if I hit reload, it connects fine, other times it just hangs again.
It's the intermittent nature of the problem that's getting me - that points to network/router/connection, right? I don't really know how to start narrowing it down..
Any help greatly appreciated..!
