Question Virtual Cisco router

Hi,

I'm interested to learn about Cisco routers. So what i want here is that,a virtual Cisco router software (open source).I tried googling, but what i find out is only simulators, where we can only work purely with the virtual router(connecting to my network is impossible) but what i need is that a virtual Cisco router that can be integrated with my local machine and networks.

Can any one suggest any such software..

Thanks in Advance...:-)

Take a look at Quagga. It implements a Cisco IOS compatible environment on Linux.
