qmail queue retry time

Hello all.

I seem to be having some issues regarding the delivery time of messages in the qmail-queue. I've got spamassassin as well as clamav running on the system, with 1GB of RAM and a 2GHz AMD Opteron processor, on RHEL 3

Sometimes, when messages are queued due to busy remote servers (say yahoo being busy, etc.), it takes a really long time for the messages to be retried. Is there any way in which I can set the retry time for messages in queue to something shorter? If I do that, am I just making it easier for my domain to be tagged as a spam originator??

Any pointers would really be appreciated..

Thanks,
