Question Permission Errors when attempting to mount shared folders with smb4k

Linux version 2.6.31.13-desktop586-1mnb (qateam@titan.mandriva.com) (gcc version 4.4.1 (GCC) )

smbclient Version 3.4.7
mount.cifs Version: 1.14-3.4.7
Smb4k Version 0.10.4

Error - Smb4k

The share "//computername/user" could not be mounted

Detail:

/bin/mount.cifs: permission denied: no match for
/home/user/smb4k/computername/user found in /etc/fstab

I recently updated my smb client and server along with mount.cifs3
Now I cannot mount any shares using smb4k with the above error.
I can make smb4k mount shares running as root with another user's credentials. I also tried to setuid mount.cifs but it gives me the same error. Also I noticed that the super user tab on smb4k is grayed out. I looked for similar posts but haven't seen any thing like this. Has anyone experienced this?

You need to add an entry into fstab for the share or mount as root, that is as designed. fuxe aleviates this problem, but that is another issue. if you are not in fstab, you usually cannot mount smb shares. check here for an example, I am not sure it works, but that is what you should do ... I guess, you want to use the shares as home directories?
