originaly posted in newbie forum

i've only just started gettin into linux recently.

I'm using gentoox on my xbox with KDE.

I've created a q3server on it which seems to be working fine. I can ping the xbox but i cant see the q3server.

I'm guessing theres some kind of firewall on there or maybe something is blocking the port 27960.

Could any body help with this?

If you need anymore info on the problem i'l do my best to find out more details but plz remember i've only started using linux recently.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.

I will move your original thread from Linux - Newbie to here, and request the moderator of this forum to close this post, no need for further cross posting.

Next time if you want a thread moved simply contact a moderator of that forum and request for them to move your thread for you.
Thanks!
