nfs mount

I have set up NFS, it works fine from boot.(Also set up DNS and feeling very pleased with myself)

The fstab reads like
desktop.machine1:/usr/share/work /home/machine2/workremote nfs defaults 0 0

My question is what syntax do I use to mount the nfs at command prompt when I attach my laptop to the network without rebooting.

Thanks in advance Richard

mount -t nfs server:/share /mount/point -o rw

all in the manpage for mount, please check there first.

If you have an entry in your fstab for that laptop, you can also just type mount -a
which is also mentioned in the man pages..
